Belle Maison Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, LLC, is conveniently located on Medical Arts Drive just steps away from North Oaks Medical Center and minutes away from numerous doctors’ offices and the offices of other health care professionals. The warm and friendly atmosphere experienced here reflects the long tradition of quality care that was begun many years ago by Belle and Red Guitreau…a tradition based upon our belief that what counts most in a nursing facility is resident care.
We believe our staff makes the difference. Our supervisors and administrators expect more than mere technical compliance with governmental rules and regulations. They lead a team sensitive to the social and emotional needs of the residents. Consequently, our employees know more than their job—they know the importance of a kind word, a gentle touch, and the healing power of a smile. Our staff is passionate about Improving Quality of Life.
Congratulations to our September Resident of the Month!
Shirley Morse is a long time resident of Ponchatoula and is the first of three children born to the late Bert and Flavia Morse. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic School until she graduated 8th grade and then went on to graduate from Ponchatoula High School in 1950.
Ms. Morse received a scholarship from SELA and majored in Education and minored in Library Science. She worked as a teacher for two years and as a librarian for several years. She loves bingo, different shades of blue and green and has a strong religious belief. Ms. Morse has also been known to make a delicious pan of lasagna.
If there was one statement of encouragement she would share, Ms. Morse said, "If you think you can do something, do it. Sometimes you are your own help."

Today we recognize our Belle Maison Resident of the Month for August!
Mary Morales was born to the late James and Lillian Allen in New Orleans, La. She is the youngest of six children and was a long time resident of Holden, La.
Mrs. Morales met the love of her life, Russell Morales, and they were married for 37 years. They had two children, and as of today, there are 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one more on the way! Mrs. Morales has been a resident of Belle Maison for almost 3 years. She's the Vice President of the Resident Council and a voice for our residents. I asked Mrs Morales is there anything she would like to say to inspire anyone and her response was, "Put God first and he'll always put you first.” ❤️
